In like a Lion, out like a Lamb

Most of March was spent watching snow storms come through. They don't produce a lot of snow but they do produce enough to 1) go play and 2) cancel school.
Snow also allows us to see the general trends our children have when they go outside. Notice the meandering nature of the path? We're pretty sure Addie started the path and deserved the right to be in the picture, she is standing out there in her galoshes and red coat.
Spring finally started to come and Emily and I went to Harrisonburg, VA so I could attend/present at a Math Conference. While I was busy during the day, Emily took the opportunity to soak up the scenery. This is a self portrait using the timer, she's not really thinking deep thoughts while she stares into wide expanse. She's really thinking, "Did the camera take the picture yet?" . . . Never mind, it sounds better if we just say, "She had some time to relax and reflect."
The end of March led to welcoming warm weather. The kids have now taken to the outside.
This also led to Andy pulling out his bike. He saw the neighbor boy riding his bike with one training wheel so Andy decided he was done with training wheels. Sure enough, 30 minutes later he was done with training wheels. I remember riding bikes being much more difficult to learn.
I added this photo because Owen has such a content attitude with life. I know Andy is in the picture but Owen can sit and play for an hour or more by himself and being outside gives him one more avenue of interest.
So that was our March in a 20 minute blog post.... Meaning it took me 20 minutes to write, hopefully you read it in less time.
