Andrew did his best to take notes during General Conference.
We also had an oppressive heat wave, with highs in the 90's. Here is Andy trying to stay cool.
We purchased our first lawn mower from Craigslist.com we debated about a riding mower or push mower and finally decided on a riding mower. Uncle Sam picked up the tab with our tax return (thanks Sam).
Emily and Andrew caught some rays.
While I gave our truck, Louella, a good cleaning....
and made lunch.
Then we made the "first parent mistake" by taking Andy to Washington DC to see the Holocaust Museum. Andy was the admiration of all the strangers on the subway. I'm sure the people were thinking, "what are those kids thinking; bringing that baby on the subway?!" While we were thinking, "I'm sure they all think we were crazy. We can just pretend we were under dire circumstances and we HAD to take him on the subway and that we're not just sight-seeing because no parent would be that crazy." Andrew survived with no air-borne diseases.
We didn't see much of the museum because Andrew needed to feed. Emily said the lady's room is nice and I saw one exhibit.
Now there's nothing left to do but enjoy the evening and prepare for the final 2 months of school.
Andy is SUCH a cutie!!!! I can definitely believe Levi took a cold shower. In fact, I can believe he embraced it and came out with a new philosophical epiphany. I'm glad Emily and Andy got some rays, it looks like you needed it. (wink, wink) Actually, I need it! I'm jealous of your heat wave. We got SNOW (the day before)! I miss you guys and I love you.
