It was fun while it lasted...

There are two major perks to being a teacher 1) is the two month vacation every summer 2) is the two week vacation every winter. The first perk is about 4 times better than the second. Most of our "loyal readers" know the circumstance in which we post this. Sufficient to say, there is absolutely no chronology to these photos. We are also NOT the family that takes lots of pictures. You'll never see Emily or myself say, "Wait, let me get a picture" or "Oh, I've got my camera". You're more likely to hear, "We probably should have taken some pictures." Hence what we have is not summative or comprehensive. It is what it is:

We'll start here. Andy was frequently found playing in the ditch or helping Grandpa play in the ditch.
There was never a dull (or peaceful) moment when "the boys" were playing together.
Cascade Lake was one of our many adventures. The Roundy Reunion was definitely worth 7 hour drive!
We discovered that the drill is his favorite power tool.
They had seen our type before...
We had to see the waterfall in Twin Falls. A waterfall is a fascinating idea.
We sure hope Andy learned Ryan's grilling secrets because his cooking alone is worth a trip to Rexburg.
Business as usual at the DeFord's

Because these pictures represent 2 months of vacationing, we don't know where to begin or end with the stories. There wasn't a day that went by that we didn't enjoy just being with our family. We're fortunate to have the opportunities we do have to see everyone. Thanks to all those who went out of their way to spend time with us.

On the lighter side of things...
Be careful where you decide to nap when at the beach; as Tamy demonstrated so well.

  1. Andy is so darling! I'm so glad you have posted. I'm also glad you got to come West and wished we'd have been further East in order to see you.

I thought that was sunscreen on Tammy's back. Not so?

  2. Oh I'll bet Tammy was mad! Too funny! I'm so sad I missed out, especially with business at the DeFords. And I'm glad Andy was well attended and came home with his rightful owners.
